Senate Bill 151 Ruling

On June 20, 2018 Franklin Circuit Court Judge Phillip Shepherd ruled Senate Bill 151, the pension reform bill, unenforceable because the legislative process violated certain provisions of the Kentucky Constitution. The ruling can be appealed to the Kentucky Supreme Court. The judge’s ruling does not affect other bills related to KRS that were enacted during the 2018 legislative session.
