The KRS Actuarial Subcommittee is a subcommittee of the KRS Investment Committee. The subcommittee reviews and evaluates actuarial assumptions, funding methods, and tables proposed by the actuary for each plan within the respective Systems. These affect the determination of the actuarial valuation of assets and liabilities, factors that apply to amounts payable to members, and the actuarially recommended contribution rate for employers. The The KRS Actuarial Subcommittee meets as necessary upon the call of the Chair of the Subcommittee. The Subcommittee reports its findings and recommendations to the KRS Investment Committee and, upon review and approval, the Investment Committee forward the recommendations to the full KRS Board of Trustees for ratification.
