Amy Fields

Director, Communications

Amy Fields oversees the Communications Division of the Kentucky Public Pensions Authority, where she leads a team responsible for KPPA's communication efforts, including content development for the KPPA website and social media outlets; creating, editing, and distributing KPPA publications; planning for crisis communications; and assisting the KPPA Executive Director with government and media relations and educational outreach efforts. She also serves as the agency's primary contact for the Constituent Services Offices of all elected officials and other state agencies, and coordinates legislative tracking of retirement-related bills during all Kentucky General Assembly sessions.

Amy joined KPPA (then KRS) in 2002 and has experience across multiple divisions. In 2024 she was named Director of Communications after serving as Assistant Director for seven years. Her work has included content development for the website and publications, all aspects of publishing and distributing the Summary Annual Financial Report (SAFR), and overseeing KPPA's print budget and the implementation of a paperless option for members. She is a member of both the National Association of Government Communicators (NAGC) and the Kentucky Association of Government Communicators (KAGC), the National Conference on Public Employee Retirement Systems (NCPERS), and the National Pension Education Association (NPEA).
