The 2024 Regular Session of the Kentucky General Assembly adjourned
sine die (a Latin phrase meaning "without a day" that is used to describe the official end of a legislative session) yesterday, April 15.
There were two items of interest on the
Daily List yesterday. First, the Senate confirmed the appointment (or reappointment) of 3 Trustees for the Kentucky Retirement Systems Board of Trustees:

Senate Resolution 309 (Confirm appointment of Mary G. Eaves to the KRS Board of Trustees for a term expiring June 21, 2027);

Senate Resolution 310 (Confirm reappointment of Caswell Prewitt Lane to the KRS Board of Trustees for a term expiring June 17, 2027); and
-
Senate Resolution 313 (Confirm reappointment of Pamela Fettig Thompson to the KRS Board of Trustees for a term expiring June 17, 2027). All three resolutions were introduced and adopted 38-0.
In addition,
House Bill 354 (retiree health insurance reimbursements for school district employees) passed 37-0 yesterday and has been delivered to the Governor for his consideration.
On the
Other Retirement-Related Legislation tracking list,
Senate Resolution 324 was introduced and adopted 38-0; while
House Bill 155 was recommitted to the Senate Judiciary committee and did not pass.

The Governor has 10 days, excluding Sundays, to consider the bills that were sent to him yesterday. After the 10-day period expires, or whenever we see what happens to the remaining bills on our tracking lists (whichever comes first), I'll send a summary of the retirement-related bills and resolutions that passed this Session.
